Summer season of great text at TextWorkshop

‘You have given me a whole new appetite for writing.’

Brunswick Square is a beautiful green space in central London, and home to the wonderful Foundling Museum. We’ve held a TextWorkshop here before, and were delighted to return in June 2013 on a sweltering day when the gardens outside seemed almost too hot to handle.

In the cool of the museum, delegates from Historic Royal Palaces, the Muslim-Christian Forum, Cambridge Science Centre, Museum of East Anglian Life, Museum of Oxford, and many others, gathered to write and discuss great text. Here are some of their feedback comments:

The day exceeded my expectations. Great writing exercises, fantastic examples. Today’s learning has boosted my confidence that I CAN write well – and I cannot wait to apply the tips.

“Today has put the excitement back into looking at text – thank you.”

“I usually hate on-the-spot writing exercises, but these were fun and very helpful.”

“The day was very good value.”

“The trainers were brilliant and the whole day has been relaxed and inspirational.”

“I thought the twelve tips were spot on.”

“Having real examples was particularly helpful, and seeing how they were re-written.”

“I liked that there were no boring or embarrassing activities which no one really enjoys. A really nice relaxed atmosphere where getting something wrong was fine.”
