Maritime Museum TextWorkshop

Curator Robert Blyth gives a much-appreciated guide to his recent text-writing at the National Maritime Museum

‘Always good to meet new people and have one’s thoughts and working methods validated or challenged. Also it was great to bring in a working text-writer from the host museum and get out of the classroom a bit.’

‘I feel I know a fair bit about writing museum text, but you can always learn something new and keep your enthusiasm fresh – that’s what I wanted and got from today.’

‘My main learning outcome is that even without a big budget and sophisticated devices it is possible to create stimulating and informative text.’

Delegates give feedback on the course on 26th May 2011.
